Refreshing Coolness and Real Snow – A Unique Wellness Experience

Refreshing Coolness and Real Snow – A Unique Wellness Experience

Discover our wellness area and experience the benefits of cold in a completely new way. The snow grotto offers real snow, gently falling from above in the entry area. Sub-zero temperatures provide a “pleasant chill” that’s gentle and soothing to the body, while soft snowflakes create a multisensory experience that regenerates both body and mind.

The room, surrounded by snow and cold air, engages all senses and provides a deep, holistic cooling inspired by the ancient tradition of contrast therapy. Walking through the snow, touching it, and experiencing the cold in a new way fosters physical refreshment and creates an emotional connection to nature.

Our innovative approach provides a special experience while respecting natural resources. Water is used sparingly to produce snow, sourced from our spring nestled in the rock of the Marktal Valley beneath the Völseggspitze. Efficient heat recovery technology allows us to use energy for both cooling and pool heating.

Sustainability and Self-Sufficiency

Our facilities operate autonomously, powered by resources from our own property. Water comes from our private spring, and rainwater from rooftops is collected in large underground tanks to irrigate the green areas. Wood for water heating is sourced from the surrounding “Ansitz Velseck” forest. Rooftop solar panels produce over 120 kW of energy. The operational hours of major energy consumers are adjusted to energy availability, running during selected times rather than continuously, yet ensuring round-the-clock comfort and well-being in harmony with nature.”
